ACFE Chapter Meeting 23 August 2017 – Workplace investigations & obtaining freezing orders

The next chapter meeting will be held on Wednesday the 23rd of August 2017 at the offices of BDO at level 10, 12 Creek St Brisbane at 5:30PM.

The speaker will be Jonathon Hadley to speak on undertaking workplace investigations & obtaining freezing orders from a legal perspective.

The presentation will cover fraud in the workplace in the accounts payable function of a business with a particular focus on ghost suppliers and invoice skimming. A real life hypothetical case study will be examined to demonstrate how an effective workplace investigation should be undertaken to ensure legal risk to an employer is minimised.

Jonathon is a partner in the corporate advisory group Gadens and has 13 years’ experience in employment, industrial relations and workplace health and safety. I take this opportunity to thank BDO for hosting this event and Jonathon for making his time available.

We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting. Please register through Eventbrite to assist with the event organisation.
